In a bid to escape the grey (or currently white) time of year we recently sent Richard on a trip to the mill that makes Colorplan. James Cropper Speciality Papers in the Lake District, produce the whole range for GFSmith, and post trip drinks aside Richard assures us he learned a lot (feel free to test him when you next see him). From the art of converting pulp to paper,  through to how the laboratory works to produce accurate colours – and if you fancied making your own colour you can, with a minimum order of 2 tonnes you even get to name it!
